What began as an internship blossomed into a work opportunity I cherish invaluably. With Taproot Edmonton, I forged meaningful connections with Alberta's big community names, interviewed important figures, and devoted my heart and energy to dozens of written pieces.
The Carillon, University of Regina
August, 2016 - August, 2018
I first wrote an opinion piece for the Carillon at the recommendation of a friend. From there, I assumed the mantle of Op-Ed Editor and began a two-year love affair with publishing contentious and controversial opinions. This work launched my passion for journalism.

October - November, 2019
An independent profile feature on Edmonton's infamous street preacher, Dale Kornel. This piece involved in-depth interviewing, conversation, and total deconstruction of my understanding of religion. A well-known and loved article around Edmonton.
January, 2022
A student project on mental wellness evolved into a candid conversation with CBC about how students can best accommodate their needs. As a part of #BellLetsTalk, I talk about my lived experience with OCD and how others like me can cope and grow.

Red Flag Project, MAVEN at MacEwan University
September - December, 2018
A passion project that was done during my time with MAVEN (MacEwan Anti-Violence Education Network) with photographer Milo Knauer. The Red Flag project was created to highlight abusive behaviours in romantic relationships that are otherwise left out of sex education. These posters are still used routinely at MacEwan in February.
February, 2019
Internationally renowned feminist scholar and anti-stalking advocate Julie S. LaLonde gave a talk for Valentine's Day, 2019, to share her story with a long-time stalker. As a part of my work with MAVEN, I was chosen to host this valuable talk and interact closely with Julie as she got settled.
